Probably right but nothing gets me more angry than an immigrant complaining about the elected government of my country. If they are not born here they can never call themselves a kiwi. If I worked in UK I would not complain about the government I would just be grateful they let me in. How do you know when a plane load of poms arrives in NZ? |

Yeah I have noticed too, in recent years that there is talk, even on radio stations, about early settlers/immigrants or whatever in our country, including Maori. It seems 1000 years of Maori settlement is of little significance to today's advocates of recent NZ immigrants. |

I understand you taking the view that you do, after all you were born here and had no say in the matter, you are not a Kiwi by choice, it was forced on you. :badpc: However there are those of us who had free will of choice in a true right wing way, especially those of us who were part of Britain's Aid to the Underdeveloped Colonies :banana :clap you should be glad we came.......:devil I was quite glad to leave a decaying England in 1977 with its Harold Wilson government........now there was a fellow traveller government if ever there was one....with various MPs almost certainly in the pay of the KGB, like Tom Driberg, Stonehouse, Diamond, Judith Hart, McDermot, Swingler and so on. Then we had flying pickets and threats to replace the judiciary with government picked left wingers to free jailed agitators There were said to be private armies being formed to counter these threats, General Walker's Private Army being one about which there was a spoof TV comedy made, and a much more serious scenario with a TV program you would have loved Pre, called The Guardians, where the private armies had taken over and formed a military government, and the commies were hunted down. |
