784299 2009-06-21 06:59:00 Hi team I have a laptop where only some the keys arent working. It is pretty hit and miss sometimes the keys work sometimes not having to type this using the onscreen keyboard. keys not working are h, i, o, space bar and others, but as I said, sometines they work ans sometimes not -is this some malware or other? Any help would be help. Cheers Al arko (9074)
784300 2009-06-21 07:04:00 Sometimes bits of "stuff" can get under the key and stop them going right down.
You should be able to removes the keys by simply flicking them up. Refit by pressing into place once you have cleared anything from underneath.

Otherwise there may just be stuff stuck under the keys as ColPol said.

784303 2009-06-21 08:16:00 Try using some compressed air as it will blow out any bits of grit and dust that might be lodged under the keys. woc (13210)
