630853 2008-01-17 11:57:00 Can't say I use text language much, unless im in a super hurry. Otherwise, thats what predictive is for.

i find predictive faster than manually tapping out txt language anyway

I only use text if there is not enough room to put what I want in the message, and the odd abbreviation I will use, but not over the top.

Text language is not a real language, it maybe shorter, but it takes longer to read for most of us...

exactly

and the thread in question here (in the original post) isn't a case so much of txt language but of piss poor grammar and no punctuation. how that poster didn't see that no-one could understand him is beyond me though

The purpose of language is to communicate.

630856 2008-01-17 19:17:00 Hell, I just figured if we were going to over react to someone using txt (OMG BAN HIM, Hell never get a job, Do they think that is a language?), We might as well go all the way....over the shark.

Oh he'll get a job. He'll end up working as one of those annoying gimps you find in Vodafone shops. The ones where when you tell exactly what your needs are the stare blankly at you and point to the little bit of paper with the plans on it. They might as well install self-help kiosks and save themselves some money ...
