Just been out and had a look at it and the ribbed side to me looks like it should be facing upwards - maybe to stop the stuff wallowing in the fat on the plate ? Means you cant scrape it easily though It could work kind of like a backwards heatsink I guess... more surface area, so the plate absorbs the heat faster. That said, I'd probably have the ribs facing up if I wasn't told otherwise, seems to make more sense. |
