~ Ill just use a RAID0 for now.
~ realized how confused my post is; i was saying aloud about the price difference between the $114 320gb HDD and the $150ish 1TB Seagate.

-Thanks for the help guys.
~P.S will my asus m2n-mx-se plus handle a raid array?!? - im looking at upgrading that soon but hopefully not this soon.

~Now the choice. Monitor or HDD first.... oh i have problems ><

It has to be the Monitor first does it not?
This because you have no idea as to whether your current motherboard is RAID capable at this time and you don't want to update this soon!

You definitely have problems.

784166 2009-06-21 10:57:00 Not sure, I havent heard anything bad about any of them, they seem to be trusted brands...... maybe a samsung... ZapperBoy10647 (11988)
784167 2009-06-21 10:58:00 At the end of the day it doesnt matter too much, half of them are made in the same factory.

As long as it has a low response and pixel warranty get anything from a known brand

Even if they are made from the same factory, the actual panel inside them can differ between models.

will tell you exactly which panel is in the monitor. IPS > PVA > TN

784171 2009-06-21 23:32:00 Also to the OP:
If you use RAID 0, not only does it not really give any meaningful increase in speed (according to pctek's link), you've doubled your chances of losing all your data.
