You haven't clicked that the choice so far seems to be other companies with even crappier customer service reselling Telecom products that they buy wholesale. |

I can tell you that Slingshots service is far worse than telecoms. Slingshot never reply to emails (emails are ignored), and you are often waiting for half and hour on hold if you try to phone them for technical support. Telecom reply to emails within a day, and I have never had to wait for more than 5 minutes on hold. |

I agree, Telecom have a much bigger share of the broadband market than all the other ISP's put together. So it shows that either people cant be bothered to change, don't want to change cos their worried about billing problems and losing their email address or that the other ISP's are bad marketers. Not only that it is often reported in the Herald etc that Telecom have converted a FAR higher percentage of their users from dial up to broadband than the other ISPs have. Which tends to suggest that people go to the other ISP's such as Slingshot to get cheap rates on dial up $ 9.95 or $ 15.00 etc. Regards Digby |

Something like that, and it looks appealing, to people who don't know a lot about it. |

Telecom offers 24x7 phone support, and I don't know of many that offer this, and people want this. Companies such as slingshot can provide cheap prices because they don't have the same support of telecom. |

Once someone else becomes as big then they will whinge about them. I just do it out of habit most of the time. Especially after just moving house and they managed to f*** things up again. |
