2008-01-13 07:47:00 | I just have to put a plug in for Amazon I ordered a tee shirt and two books off them before Christmas, I got my tee-shirt like a week later but my books didn't arrive, estimated delivery date was January 4th and it was Jan 8th and I hadn't seen them, I tried there track n trace which said they had been despatched but that was it. I was starting to get worried thinking I had just lost $50.00 Now I have brought things off Amazon in the past and they have always arrived well before their estimated date. So I sent them an email, they replied, apologised and credited me back the cost of freight, and said that if I could wait till the 11th Jan and if they still hadn't arrived they would send more at their expense. They stated that they fully cover all losses and damages to your purchases until they arrive at your door. The 11th came and I still hadn't seen anything, At Amazons request I checked with my local post office in case they were there. but to no avail. I came home from work on Sat 12th and I was thinking how I was going to email them as I walked in the door and my books had arrived. So I would just like to say how great it was of Amazon to give me peace of mind knowing that if they didn't arrive they would send more. And not to forget the fact they credited the shipping costs back to me also. Thanks Amazon

2008-01-13 08:05:00 | Isn't Amazon like trademe? So it was the individual user you dealt with who was responsible, right? | qazwsxokmijn (102) | |
2008-01-13 08:06:00 | Great to hear radium ! I've always found them excellent too. Goods usually arrive very quickly. Misty :) :) edit - just saw the comment from gawsxokmijn - not as I understand it. I may stand to be corrected -- there is the central and main company called Amazon --- and there are also appended traders, who you can easily check reliability etc of.

2008-01-13 19:30:00 | I use them quite allot though with the price of DVDs here going down and the price of postage from the US going up I will be a bit more selective with what I buy.. Pity that you can't get access to Amazon's great DRM free 256K MP3 music library from NZ. | paulw (1826) | |
2008-01-13 19:57:00 | I've had books not arrive. They can't track it once it arrives here, and NZPost won't. So Amazon just sent me new books.

2008-01-13 20:26:00 | They have also expanded their services for affiliates to advertise on their web sites. So many ad formats to add on, including "widgets" making it easier and dynamic for site owners to display their ads... | kahawai chaser (3545) | |
2008-01-14 00:18:00 | I think it's great that they take your word for it and send you more if they don't arrive. You can't ask for much better than that. | radium (8645) | |
