Just had a look at Utube and found I have no sound.
I have only the built in sound card and do not have any speakers. I have a USB head set which in the past has always played sound . At present I get two way sound via Teamspeak but from nowhere else.

Have had a look at windows media player and their sample sound and video are nnot working either.

Looks like I have to install something, but what?

783900 2009-06-20 04:55:00 So far every install I have done of W7 has started with no sound - ran windows update and it located the drivers and installed. Tried the M Boards Site - and their ones dont work. wainuitech (129)

Just run windows update, should auto pick up the drivers in the "optional updates" section

No luck. Says all available/optional updates are installed.
Notice video and TV are running beautifully, but no sound.

In Windows media player it says "No Speakers" and is greyed out.
It shows Logitech headset working properly. Just got to direct sound to the headset.

You probably need drivers as the others have said, but first thing I would try is clicking the Start Orb, then type troubleshoot then click on Troubleshooting. Under Hardware and Sound, use Troubleshoot Audio Playback.

It's worked for me a couple of times.

Otherwise you probably need to look for an audio driver, if there is no Win7 one, you can try a Vista one or even an XP one. I usually try Windows Update, then the computer manufacturer's website, then the audio card manufacturer (unless it's built in, then go to the motherboard manufacturer).

Smart Chap Saucy. Simple fix realy. Just had to make my headset the default sound player.
Thanks
