I thought Firefox 2 was bad until I tried it with IE 6.

Yuk!!

633225 2008-01-24 09:13:00 Wow, IE6 is kinda painful. I haven't got Opera or Safari installed on this PC, anyone know how those two do? wratterus (105)
633226 2008-01-24 09:17:00 Opera displays it correctly, of course. ;) FoxyMX (5)

633228 2008-01-24 16:51:00 Safari displays correctly as well. Safari (3993)
633229 2008-01-24 18:05:00 Doesn't display correctly in Fireforx - or IE.

Hmmm - does that mean those browsers don't work to webstandards?

Or does it mean that webstandards are pretty much meaningless if the two most used browsers don't give a toss....?

It means those browsers fail that particular test.
Firefox v1 & 2 are a whole lot more standards compliant than IE6 or 7, but still have gaps in what they support.
If you try a nightly build of FFox v3 you'll probably see that it renders the Acid test just fine.

Yep. The next FF is meant to be fixed.
