632933 2008-01-22 22:26:00 if skytv changes their satellite and uses that new one that was launched or going to be launched, does this mean users who are receiving freeview using their skytv satellite would have to get a second satellite installed to receive freeview? lance4k (4644)
632934 2008-01-22 22:50:00 Unless Sky change back to vertical polarity (At the moment both Freeview and Sky are on Horizontal) you should still be able to use the same dish for both. CYaBro (73)
632935 2008-01-23 09:24:00 What do you mean if, come into the future man sky tv changed there satellite and polarity last year ,And no sky will not show freeview that has been talked to death.

If you want freeview and you have a sky dish on your roof then all you have to do is buy a cheap $200 decoder and thats all if you have no dish or freeview decoder then you pay $700 through the nose for some beef jerky to come out and install it for you.

632936 2008-01-23 11:25:00 Yes not sure what you are on about? AS Sky have a 15 year contract to be on Optus D1. If any problem it won't matter as Optus D3 is going up later this year. They have enough Optus satellite to juggle a few around. To put one at 160E in D1's place if any failure.

But Sky does have the dual lnbf with Optus C1 at 156E as back up which would provide a few channels until another Optus bird could shift.

Anyway Don't worry about its not an Issue
