632035 2008-01-20 04:30:00 Vodaphone are temporarily unable to play you your total balance after you have made a pre-pay top up by calling 777 !

They have had this temporary problem for the last 6 months !

Come on Paul !

Either fix it or remove the message !

632036 2008-01-20 06:25:00 Think yourself lucky! I topped up three prepay phones last November and within a few days they all expired to zero balance. (But with a new anniversary date in November 2008.) Still waiting for a response to the letter I wrote to Vodafone. After umpteen phone calls (each involving three to five days waits for response) they eventually admitted the problem and restored some of the credit. coldot (6847)
632037 2008-01-20 06:48:00 I have never had a problem (yet) with their phones, but I have only had one day that really could strive toward adequate with their Vodem.
Their accounts department could give telecon a run for their money.

You could just text "bal" to 777 and that gives you the correct amount instantly.

You can't use that to top up, which is what the topic is about.

632040 2008-01-21 03:59:00 I use HotLink, and I can top up my balance straight from my bank account. Most banks offer the service and you set it up either on the Vodafone site or on your bank site. It is really quick and convenient, no more bits of paper with numbers on to buy! lakewoodlady (103)

Yes, Robbyp

That was the point of my thread, it is a bit tongue in cheek, but they have been temporarily unable to play my balance for about a year now.

How long does it have to be to be permanent ?

I heard that Fair Go will be running further stories on billing problems with Vodafone next year, so you are not alone with problems . There was also another recent thread about someone else who had been having billing problems . Fairgo like to run stories on the big telcos .

632043 2008-01-21 07:00:00 Well, buying bits of numbered paper will have to be my method for a while, since I buy them from SWMBO !
I would alter the arrangement only at great personal risk. I am strangely reluctant to find out how much, or of what.
