There were lots of mysterious noises heard in another location, doors opening, dogs going nuts but you were never shown anything gory or involving special effects. Its was extremely creepy. |

Scared the crap out of me actually. Yea, they are pretty cool, if you can stand subtitles there are heaps of excellent Jap horrors. America is constantly remaking them (The ring, The grudge, pulse, one missed call, dark water just to name a few). That Turisto movie is pretty brutal too for a new one. Not what I thought it was going to be. |

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original) is a good example of not actually showing the gore but still giving people a scare. Everyone who's seen it remembers the girl getting impaled on a hook, yet the movie doesn't actually show it. |
