Bata version was fine.

Or use windows properly; use it with a standard account instead of running as an admin. Linux users don't do everything as root, so windows users shouldn't do everything as admin.

One of my friends always used to have problems with her computer (viruses, trojans, even a rootkit). I changed her account to a limited one and she hasn't had any problems since. Malware can't install itself if you are a standard user.

Avoid crapware that says it'll optimize your computer. Absolutely have them programs.

i.e Regcure, Memory Optimizer....

Oh and most versions of Linux. When you are used to Windows (whatever version), it's a nightmare to configure & understand and a new version seems to come out every week !!!
