2008-01-19 01:39:00 | God this is BS. There is no scientific basis for this at all. Just because we all dismiss this lame tripe for what it is- fanciful thinking doesn't mean we aren't open minded people. As for knowing who is calling before you pick up, its called Caller ID.

2008-01-19 02:01:00 | Beeswax34: Caller ID? You obviously did not read the entire article. Perhaps that is a measure of your attention span. Another member of The Flat Earth Society. Just because there is no scientific basis for anything does not mean that it is not a reality. Just because you have never experienced something does not mean that it does not exist. Your comments (and others) are dismissive of something of which you know nothing (and don't want to know) - very obviously. Wasn't there a film made about a pretend landing on Mars? How do you know that the moon landings were not a hoax? You believe what they told you? And you believed that lame tripe? How gullible! Open up your obviously very closed mind and give a little credence to other people's experiences.

2008-01-19 03:31:00 | My sympathies to you Roscoe. Obviously this is not the right place to expound on your experiences and thoughts. It really amazes me when people quote the great arbiter " SCIENCE " to prove or disprove something. Would it not be better to just keep an open mind and say " I don't know ". Listened to LLoyd Geering last week and was amazed at the arrogance of the man. I am not a religious nut or fundamentalist, but I cannot see that there is any proof that there is NOT some sort of creator. Yet these people loudly proclaim something that they cannot prove either way. There are many instances of things that SCIENCE has no answers for but this is no argument to say they do not exist. There are more things in heaven and earth by golly Horatio.

2008-01-19 03:34:00 | Im convinced, Lets embrace every bit of dribble anyone can think of, No matter that it cannot be demonstrated in any way, shape or form. Open you mind, then fill it with s h i t.

2008-01-19 04:13:00 | Heaton: Thanks for your sympathies. As you say, not the right place. I was under the misapprehension that we lived in an enlightened age with the same type of thinking. Welcome to the enlightened victorian attitudes of F1. And I thought that you, Metla was one of the more enlightened. Who said telepathy cannot be demonstrated? You? On what do you base that? Your own non-experience? As for you and Beeswax34, if it is not within your personal experience, it can't be realistic. Everything that is without scientific basis or lies outside your personal experience can have no credence whatsoever. And you say you have an open mind? Did you think that I had nothing to do for an hour or so and so decided to write a load of tripe hoping that all these silly people on F1 are gullible enough to believe everything they read? Why not give yourself a new experience (obviously rare) and have a little experiment when no-one is watching or listening? (Then they can't laugh at you as you are obviously laughing at me.) People with little closed minds have no time for something new and beyond their own tiny world. It's much easier to ridicule and dismiss something out-of-hand. Did you never watch "Sensing Murder" on TV2 recently? I imagine that if you did you would have dismissed that as lame tripe or dribble as well. The fact that these people, without any knowledge of a particular murder, were able to accurately relate facts that only the (often skeptical) police knew, would have been, to your way of thinking, I suppose, a load of lame tripe and dribble. Would you say that these people were obviously told all about the case before the filming, even though viewers were assured that these people had no knowledge of that (intentionally) obscure murder? What sort of credibility would TVNZ have broadcasting something as obviously lame and full of dribble as beeswax34 and Metla think? There is no scientific basis for any of that programme, but it's quite incredible how those people work their "lame tripe" and "dribble." They have certainly confounded (and to your way of thinking, I suppose, fooled) both TVNZ and the police. There are still many things in this world that we do not understand or cannot explain.

2008-01-19 04:27:00 | I thought that we had some intelligent open minded people on F1. The problem with leaving your mind wide open is that every nutter comes along and fills it with crap.

2008-01-19 05:06:00 | And I thought that we had some intelligent open minded people on F1. I would not be at all surprised if you were all paid up members of The Flat Earth Society - "Everyone KNOWS it's flat." Of course the world is not flat!! Who in their right mind would think that? It is like a saucer, otherwise the sea would all pour over the sides. Ken :groan:

2008-01-19 05:38:00 | When I was 6 my grandmother was ill and Dad flew up to be with her. Naturally I scored his half of the double bed and my brother, aged 2, not to be outdone, scored the camp bed in Mum's room. In the early hours of the morning Mum was woken by me tossing, turning and talking. The kid brother did it too and suddenly sat up with his arms out. When Dad rang in the morning Mum was able to tell him the exact time that my grandmother had died. Telepathy is a bit hit and miss but I do get bits of it sometimes.
