785442 2009-06-24 07:28:00 Im unbaned (YAY!) anyway, I'll try(no promises) to not troll anymore.

Anyway, the purpose of this thread is to ask you opinion, my specifications are listed below in my signature, will i be able to get 30-50fps with these on moderate game settings on GTA IV?!?

785443 2009-06-24 07:40:00 Well I have a 6000+ (3GHz dual core AMD), 8600GT 512MB, 8gb of ram and when I recently benchmarked I got about 18FPS with everything on high. So I think you will be sweet with the 9800GT. Tuneznz (13203)
785444 2009-06-24 07:46:00 No it runs like a pig regardless of hardware. pctek (84)

That's exactly what a friend of mine said after trying it, and he can run Crysis well too

785447 2009-06-24 21:52:00 Pctek is right. It was not a good port over from the console, and runs like a heap of crap on the majority of PCs. wratterus (105)
785448 2009-06-24 22:17:00 yeah its the most horrid Port ive ever seen from Console -> PC

i can run it fine(ish) but im killing endangered Species by doing so

they honestly spent the 6-9 months before the PC release doing nothing but add bollocks copy protection that doesnt work and adding compulsory services just to run the damn game and save offline :horrified

the only thing going for it is running over accountants and heckling the Homless people

The computer that the op has is not one of the hunk of crap computers, also gta4 is a bad port but it is also a very hardware intensive game that a lot of computers can't handle.

We're talking about a game not an O/S. And in any case I can't see a huge difference between XP with or without the SPs. Apart from USB support.
