2008-01-28 00:07:00 | I'm looking at getting a new TV this year, particularly if they bring in digital tuners but as part of a total upgrade thought about getting a media pc too. So I wondered if it was a high enough resolution. Cant see why it shouldn't be but on 'AVS' the 1080 vs 720 debates always mentioned getting a 1080 hd screen if using it for a computer. Aren't plenty of computer screens around 768 res. | Robinz (9362) | |
2008-01-28 00:32:00 | 768 vertical pixels gives a quite adequate computer screen on a 10" monitor. | R2x1 (4628) | |

2008-01-28 03:26:00 | Laptop im posting on has 1280x768, 768 is more than fine 99% I just find more scrolling happens than on my other 17" 1280x1024 screens, but you would hope anyone can get over that

2008-01-30 01:52:00 | I am getting an LG LCD TV 22" which has 1680x1050 resolution | KiwiTT_NZ (233) | |
2008-01-30 03:54:00 | An old 15-inch monitor would be 1024 x 768, and a current 13.3 inch laptop monitor is typically 1280 x 768. This is fine on a small screen, but as you get bigger you need more resolution. My 20-inch monitor is 1680 x 1050, so personally, if I was looking at an LCD television for use as a computer monitor, 1366 x 768 would be inadequate for regular computer use. | maccrazy (6741) | |
2008-01-30 10:21:00 | A friend of mine just bought a large widescreen LCD TV, definitely bigger than 22" and using his PC on it at 1366 x 768 works surprisingly well, obviously you can't sit as close as you would a monitor, but everything is readable and games are awesome. You don't need a super-high resolution for it to be useable

2008-01-30 10:45:00 | My 32" LCD TV runs at 1366 x 768, Beautiful to use as a PC screen, from the comfort of my chair and with a wireless KB and mouse. Dunno if I would want it on my desk, But my 22" LCD monitor is looking a bit small.....
