633595 2008-01-25 18:48:00 I say Hard Labour for All Violent offences.

Make a few documentaries showing guys doing it, in the hot sun, in the cold, 8 hours a day, breaking rocks.

If you brought that in you would not need any more new jails at all. NO ONE likes hard labour.

Much as I hate the judges for being weak and left wing liberals, I also think they must get memos saying don't sentence too many scum today as our jails are full.

Also to stop all this current random violence I say anyone caught possessing an offensive weapon should get immediate 3 months in jail hard labour. NO court, no judge just go straight to jail. That would stop it right away, once they see a few of their mates doing it.

633597 2008-01-25 19:43:00 The family of a man murdered by Graeme Burton have been told to repay up to $19,000 in legal aid granted for an inquest into his death.

Karl Kuchenbecker's former partner is on the domestic purposes benefit while she raises their two boys, James and Blair.
But while taxpayers will pay about $40,000 for double-killer Burton's amputation and prosthetic leg - a result of the shootout that followed Mr Kuchenbecker's murder - she has been told to repay legal fees for a four-day coroner's inquest at $25 a week.

Its not only wrong, Its so wrong it needs to be set right, and whomever is behind crap like this needs to go.

Kill Burton.

Gorvenmrent apology to the Families of the victimes, Compensation.

Fire everyone involved in his release, his monitoring, and his capture.

Fire whomever is involved with ACC paying for his treatment.

Criminal charges against the main offenders, with jail time. Thats including members of the parole board.

Beat the living **** out of whatever fool sent her that bill,

633598 2008-01-25 19:50:00 Both defence and prosecution argued for between 2 - 3.5 years for the defendants.

The actual sentences the offenders had received were 5 and 6 years imprisonment.

What were the real sentences, including parole? Maybe the judge added a bit to make sure they got 2 - 3.5.

633599 2008-01-25 20:21:00 I am right with Digby.
And anyone committing any offense whatsoever with a modified vehicle should have to watch the car being crushed. Second offenders should watch it from inside the car.
Flogging for littering. (Bit tough on cats, but - - )
Electrocution for elocution errors.

Soon we will have a land fit for heroes.

633600 2008-01-26 00:50:00 C1, are you perhaps mildly retarded, or is it an act?

Just curious.

Nah, just Ted being his usual self.

633601 2008-01-26 00:55:00 We should make this year, year of the victim.
The crooks could have year of the crooks from 2009 to eternity but 1 year 2008 for victims of crime would be good.
I cant believe some of these judges and their slap with a wet bus ticket for bad crimes.
Is there some way to go after the judges? Maybe if someone could publish a list of the judges addresses so people could get them back like the West Coasters do with people in authority that piss them off.
I know if I was a judge and lenient sentence pissed of the victim and they molotov cocktaled my house I would change my tune.

633602 2008-01-26 01:07:00 This sentence of community service that the criminal low life get. Do they ever do it. When it was PD they were often seen cleaning up on the side of the roads watched over by a warden sitting in a van reading the paper. These days you see no such thing. I suspect they just don't bother to turn up Dally (6292)
633603 2008-01-26 01:38:00 Hi Mets... re :The family of a man murdered by Graeme Burton have been told to repay up to $19,000 in legal aid granted for an inquest into his death.
Did you notice that that was for sitting in court with the family for 4 days. Not bad bread. :angry

633604 2008-01-26 02:17:00 Crime is extremely profitable for members of the legal fraternity, from the newest clerk to the Supreme Caught judges. There are a lot of snouts in that trough, so perhaps they need the criminals out generating business. R2x1 (4628)
