| 633362 | 2008-01-23 23:40:00 | Declined doesn't give a receipt on Eftpos. It does, at least with some terminals. I got a new card a couple of months ago and it kept declining, so I kept all the "declined" receipts to show the bank. |

| 633363 | 2008-01-23 23:44:00 | Ya have to ignore Billy some times........... Apart from that, He a decent bloke. Bugger me Metla, keep that up and I really will carry out my threat to call in with a bottle next time I'm passing. :D Cheers Billy 8-{) PS to SolMiester: I do know about Karma, but I think you may not. Your destiny is controlled by your actions, not those of others. That is the true Buddhist Karma philosophy |

| 633364 | 2008-01-23 23:46:00 | Steady on there Billy, you are starting to insult me.:-( 1) - In golf you mark your partner card, not your own. 2) - The declined transaction should of been spotted by the staff member, perhaps they dont pay fair enough wages for a decent clerk. 3) - The Bank CANNOT accept the transaction period, unless it has a signature which it doesnt as it is authenticated by PIN number. 4) - No one in this regard is a LIAR, CHEAT or a THIEF, the error was a mistake!, what to do if we were travellers down from Auckland?, drive back? 5) - You obviously dont understand Karma. Considering the fact that this forum is predominantly frequented by teenagers and younger or old farts who dont understand computers, its very easy to gainsay your choice when its only words! While your opinions are welcome, your insults are not. In golf the Marker and the Player signs the card. If I am marking your card then I would ask you how many strokes did you have on the last hole and you would reply "X". If I thought the answer should be "Y" then I would say I counted differently. It is a fact of life some some golfers can't count. This includes professionals whom have signed an inaccurate card. They get disqualified for this. If the Player signs a wrong card the Marker is not penalised as well. Be happy with your new 3 wood. I am beginning to hope it will have a permanant slice or hook on it. The declined transaction should have been noticed. This is true. However I do not beleive this releases you from your obligations. I would not expect you to drive a long distance to pay the $80 at all. That would be silly. You post a cheque or send money via other means. I don't understand Karma either but I do know that what goes around comes around. BTW I happen to be an "old fart" (which is an insulting term) who does understand computers. Finally what about the situation between you and your Wife? It appears she would like to pay and you don't. If she thinks you are less than honest what will this do to your relationship? |

| 633365 | 2008-01-23 23:51:00 | I think my wife will probably go pay the buggers, despite my protests, and it doesnt look like you lot are going to be any help either.... I cant help but think of that saying, 'nice guys always come last'... We have countless hundreds scamming off the damn social, and then when we get a lucky result like this, the forum jumps down my throat, like I have just pulled off a company heist. I dont understand it, in 25 years of working, I have needed the dole for 6 wks, I work hard (well sort of) for my money, its not everyday I get something for nothing....<sniff sniff> |

| 633366 | 2008-01-23 23:52:00 | Actually, now that I think about it. If you were silly enough to forget to get your money out of a cash machine then how is that going to be karma for you? I know it's annoying, but if you forget your money then it's fair enough to expect to lose it. So Billy T is kind of right. Except I don't think his namesake would agree with him. Anyway, buddhism is just another religion after all. And karma is just a dogma. So it doesn't matter. What does matter is you got some free games. Score. |

I just would have kept my mouth shut, and seen how much my conscious bothered me. |

| 633368 | 2008-01-24 00:05:00 | Quote from the news today "YOUNG NONCHALONT ABOUT SMALL DEBTS" An increasing number of people are having their unpaid bills referred to debt collectors. Collections and Credit reporting agency Dun and Bradstreet says people are getting into trouble for small amounts of money, on average around $390. Spokesman John Scott says by not paying their bills, people are risking their ability to get loans because of adverse credit reports. He says too many people, particularly the young, believe small debts are not as important as larger ones and consequently do not pay them the attention they deserve. Mr Scott says bad debts stay on a person's credit record for five years. |

I think not. Otherwise you would of known the whole story. Commenting on it otherwise is just poor form mate. As for Karma, well, I liked to think I just got something back for my loss?! Maybe its not Karma, I dont know. It sounded fair to me?! Anyway, it is not my decision to make regarding payment to EB, its my wifes, as she made the transaction (even if on my behalf). I was only curious as to what the forum readers would do...... (I mean say). Some very strong opinions indeed. If it was my choice, I would keep the money. |

This is a shop transaction that the store keeper failed to notice did not complete. |

| 633371 | 2008-01-24 01:23:00 | I brought Crysis from the Gamesman and they only charged my $7.99 EFTPOS, should have been $79.99 (had already paid some of it). I went back the next day to tell them and pay the remaining $72 without hesitation. :2cents: |
