786578 2009-06-29 08:37:00 Did you select all option under utilities in TR after you did a scan? Did TR find anything? Did you do a scan with malwarebytes as well? Speedy Gonzales (78)
786579 2009-06-29 08:56:00 Yes, selected all options, yes, found a few, removed them. Malwarebytes is scanning now. Bagnew (15048)
786580 2009-06-29 09:11:00 OK, I just saved a .doc, and reopened it without trouble. Bagnew (15048)
786581 2009-06-29 09:13:00 Good thats a good sign, if it didnt do that before. If malwarebytes picks anything up remove whatever then reboot Speedy Gonzales (78)
786582 2009-06-29 09:41:00 Done the above, but still not working, but MalwareBytes did stop halfway through when my cat stood on enter (Curse him!) I'll run it again overnight, and check in the morning.

Thanks for all the help, guys, it's appreciated

786583 2009-06-29 09:43:00 Are you using Office 07?? What version of office did you save and open the docs in (for the files that wont open) Speedy Gonzales (78)
786584 2009-06-30 04:44:00 Yes, I've got '07, and I saved the ones that aren't opening in both '07 and '05 (I think it was '05, possibly 04?) Bagnew (15048)
786585 2009-06-30 05:11:00 OK, so MWB did it's thing, and found 317 infections (!) in my brother's and dad's documents, and they're all gone. I Reset, and now I still can't open the files. Curses!
I shall try booting in safe mode and will tell you all how it goes.

786586 2009-06-30 05:14:00 The docs are probably corrupted / stuffed. While youre at it, get rid of / uninstall Bittorent Speedy Gonzales (78)
786587 2009-06-30 05:26:00 I suppose I'll have to delete it all, then...
That's a lot of work down the drain
