634591 2008-01-28 07:13:00 Optimis Prime was an egg. Love stories between white trash whore and geek should be banned from ever appearing in a movie again.

Yup, thats exactly what ruined it for me.

Im not sure what my favourite was, The bourne movies are cool, but Im a horror freak and none really cut it for me.

634592 2008-01-28 07:17:00 Worst of 2008 (so far)- I am Legend.

3 scenes with the bad guys, retarded ending, Everything else boring as hell.

I thought the first half of that movie was very good, a little rushed (no where near compared to 2nd half tho)

3 scenes with bad guys? There were more, but it certainly wasn't a action film, more a survival theme and it pulled it off quite well.

Ending was a little stupid, sure, (spoilers) he could've survived, but then he wouldn't be a legend.

634593 2008-01-28 07:26:00 I actually liked I Am Legend. The scene where the Sam died and Neville's reaction after was excellent and moving.

Really does get me thinking about what I'd do if I was the last man on earth.

634594 2008-01-28 07:27:00 but then he wouldn't be a legend.

In the book the infected people (vampires) create a new society, He hunts them in their sleep, Becoming a legend to them, in the same way vampires are legends in our society.

They capture him, try him for crimes against humanity and then execute him.

The movie completely flipped the "legend" concept of the book on its head.

Not that I disagree with changes to enhance the story, But in this case they just weakened it for hollywood crap, and the sanctuary at the end could have been cut out of dozens of other hollywood movies.

And the only nod the movie gave to the new breed of humans having a society or bonds to each other was the bad dude being pissed off about losing his women and seeking revenge. It was a nice touch that the lead character perceived this to be proof of a complete loss of humanity rather then a demonstration of humanity but, One clever moment doesn't cut it.

I thought the movie lacked story, character, depth, action, and tried to make up for its short falls by killing the dog and having a suicide. It ended up being a movie where Will Smith hung out in an empty city. And the product placement was whorish....Gee, was that a Mustang?, was that an Ipod?

Anyhow, Thats just my opinion.

634595 2008-01-28 07:58:00 I have to agree with Metla about I Am Legend.

It was all cracked up to be an awesome movie, but was a real letdown when I saw it.

One word. LAME. :yuck:

It wasn't bad for a will smith movie, but the book sounds way more interesting.

I've been told by a lot of people that Death at a Funeral is the best movie they have seen, so I watched it. It was a good enough movie, but didn't even come close to living up to the hype.

The book is a classic. Even Rob Zombie regularly takes notes from it:)
