633343 2008-01-23 21:56:00 LOL, that's a bit low mate!:(

He's dead right though, you are low. Your morality and honesty are very suspect, and your karma comment is blatant wriggling self-justification.

Never mind it was eftpos either, you are responsible for protecting your card so if EB deduct it from your account, which they are entitled to do, you'll have to lie to the Bank and tell them you lost it, which will look a bit sick if they see you've been using it while ostensibly lost.

You are digging yourself a hole that you may not be able to climb out of, especially if you damage your credibility with your bank so go back and pay them.

Liars, cheats and thieves rarely prosper, unless they own a Finance company.

633344 2008-01-23 21:59:00 I think its quite interesting to see the poll results....NZ'er's, at least those that frequent this forum on the whole have good morals, which to a 40 something year old is very nice to see, especially after watching all the sad sh*te we get on the news.

But then again, Actions speaks louder than words, your opinions are great, I wonder how many would if the shoe was on the other foot, carry through with your vote....easy when its not you ah?

Don't know about anyone else - I have been in that situation a few times, and there was no question about what I should and did do. Ignoring that is basically the same as stealing something, and it could get you into crap aswell. I'd always go back.

Steady on there Billy, you are starting to insult me . :-(
1) - In golf you mark your partner card, not your own .
2) - The declined transaction should of been spotted by the staff member, perhaps they dont pay fair enough wages for a decent clerk .
3) - The Bank CANNOT accept the transaction period, unless it has a signature which it doesnt as it is authenticated by PIN number .
4) - No one in this regard is a LIAR, CHEAT or a THIEF, the error was a mistake!, what to do if we were travellers down from Auckland?, drive back?
5) - You obviously dont understand Karma .

Considering the fact that this forum is predominantly frequented by teenagers and younger or old farts who dont understand computers, its very easy to gainsay your choice when its only words!

While your opinions are welcome, your insults are not .

633347 2008-01-23 22:22:00 3 Days later and we are waiting for the transaction to hit the account, and have only just realised however, that the EFT-POS transactions was decline cause she used the wrong PIN for the card.
Thats one thing That doesn't quite make sense - If its Eft-pos and the wrong Pin Number is put in it wont accept it - declined.

With EFT-POS usually only two things stop a transaction - lack of funds or wrong PIN, either way its declined and says so right away- not 3 days later ?

INSULTS - Gee ta ! Smelly farts maybe:rolleyes:

633348 2008-01-23 22:22:00 How do you manage to buy and get something with an EFT-POS card when the transaction was declined. Safari (3993)
633349 2008-01-23 22:26:00 ^ That's what I want to know.

Plus, either way, if it was declined it was EB Games fault for letting you walk out the store with the games.

And, EB is a absolute rip off anyway, I say keep the games, EB is a big company, $80 isn't much for them - especially since the games were 2nd hand and they probably paid $5 for all of them.

And what's with everyone calling it EFT-POS, can't we call it eftpos anymore?

YES, you are quite right, no one, my wife or the clerk spotted that the transaction was declined thru wrong PIN ( she was using the house account not her own ) . We couldnt understand why the transaction hadnt hit the account as we had already transfer the funds over from my saving to counteract the transaction .
It was only this morning that my wife checked her handbag for the slip only to see it was declined!!
