what have you found the best solution or product to reduce the discomfort and make those cold showers warmer again ?

Yes I can confirm Aloe Vera really works.

Spilt a cup of hot tea over wifey's chest many years ago, we had a large Aloe Vera plant in the garden, so I grabbed 3 or 4 large leaves and spread the gel over the scald, except for a small part, the reason was that we had heard there would be no scarring and sure enough, the part that wasn't covered, is still showing today.

Lurking.

ps. sorry about the longwinded statement.

pps. she has since chopped the plant down and put down a scree garden.

lurks.
