| 633944 | 2008-01-25 13:36:00 | Every night when I sleep my ankle keeps getting bites.I get red little swollen bites on my ankle when I sleep and in the morning my ankle becomes really itchy. I live in a hostel and i don't own any pets.I don't have any food lying on the floor and I vacum clean every 3-4 days. I've tried washing my sheets and pillow sheets but still I keep getting bites at night Does anyone know if there's some kind of bait I can lay around the room to kill them? Any help would be nice.Trying to get some sleep but it seems the fleas are having dinner on me |

Being a hostel, I would check the bedding, bed frame, and crevices in the room (eg skirting boards) for a wee insect called a bed bug (en.wikipedia.org). They only come out at night, although you should really have bites on other parts of your body as well. If you do manage to find a bed bug, let the hostel management know because they may have to fumigate other rooms. Other than that, get a flea bomb can from the supermarket and set it off in your room when you are out. Don't forget to warn your room neighbours of this first. |

| 633950 | 2008-01-25 20:08:00 | Sounds like bed bugs. The flea bomb will kill them too, but make sure you expose the mattress and other bedding so the fumes can reach all the critters. | lakewoodlady (103) | ||

| 633953 | 2008-01-25 22:55:00 | If it's bed bugs the bites would be more than just the ankles. To get rid of fleas use a an anti-flea powder all over the floor and outside the door. Leave it for a few hours, then vacuum. Repeat the process three days in a row. But of course complain to management as mentioned. (ps ignore zqwerty's advice) |
