785964 2009-06-26 02:30:00 I have just installed SyncBack Free. I ran a simulation and the results showed that files are 'not in destination'. I read in the help files that it does not say what will happen to the files. It does not say if the files will be copied to the destination. This appears to me to be useless, or am I not interpreting this correctly. Does this mean that they are not in the destination (HDD) because it was only a simulation?. Pato (2463)
785965 2009-06-26 02:59:00 yes its just a simulation run. If you actually run the jobs in will copy them into the destination directory. Then if you run the simulation again it will display already in distination or something along those lines.

I find its a great bit of software and use it a lot.

785967 2009-06-26 03:31:00 SyncBackSE is the best (I don't say that lightly) backup prog I've come across. The sync function works flawlessly, provided you have it set up properly in sync options. Ditto for the rest of the prog. They've put a lot of thought and time into this one.

My 2c :)

785968 2009-06-26 03:43:00 Thanks. I will perhaps at look at SE later. I am backing up to an external HDD H:
I copied files to h:\ but I should have given it a name otherwise I am never going find things when needed. Is there any way I can do it now or is it too late?.
