What is going on with this country, that we have a third world power system? The government are making huge surpluses, but have not invested back into our infrastructure. People love to complain about broadband and telecom speeds, but without electricity , there won't be any internet at all.

636082 2008-02-01 00:30:00 Well blame the farmers who don't want pylons on their land. And America! That's what I do. The milk has gone off? America's fault. The world economy is going down the toilet? America's fault. See? ubergeek85 (131)

636084 2008-02-01 00:53:00 Yes we get all these goody do gooders jumping up and down when companys want to do something to increase our power supplies. Windfarms, oh they well spoil our views sitting up on top of those hills etc. etc. or as mentioned above about the pylons. Only one way to go and that is nuclear power stations before we run out of power completely.

636085 2008-02-01 00:59:00 Yeah, go nuclear, and use the green party and all the hippies who vote for them without actually thinking what the result is, as a fuel source, all the crap they spew out should keep it humming along nicely. ubergeek85 (131)

Now that is a double eged sword.

Due to the amount of system resources Nortons uses, hence making the PCs use more power as they have to work a lot harder than necessary, and due to the extravagant number of PCs bring run by the government and power companies, if they all switched to Nod32, the power saving would be so dramatic that this issue would disappear entirely for a few years, until the population of Auckland grows so much that it caves in on itself, then the whole country will have power a plenty.

Sorted.
