2008-01-31 09:31:00 | In a discussion on PCs on a non-computer forum I visit a couple of posts made me laugh. These guys aren't particularly computer literate. :p I can turn my computer on and off sometimes Mines got a little window like a tv. I can see into cyberspace. Its got a cord to a big black square thing. I think thats the radio bit with the valves in it that makes the digital stuff that it runs on. The rams and such. Its got a whole mess of other cords coming out the back and going somewhere. I think thats its entrails. One cord goes to the xxxxx forum another goes to the 24hr campfire forum and one for the email and the others must be hydraulic cables for each key on the keyboard.

2008-01-31 12:17:00 | I remember a recent post on CNET where someone insisted and I mean absolutely INSISTED that you have to have Windows on a computer before you could install Linux on it  "But where do you think all the drivers and the software for the BIOS and stuff comes from. Without XP you couldn't ever put Linux on" Awesome!

2008-02-01 06:55:00 | Those quotes must have been jokes. noone could really be that stupid... could they? | Agent_24 (57) | |
2008-02-01 07:22:00 | They are not stupid, just ignorant about computer technology. A woman I work with thought you had to open up Adobe Acrobact Reader first before you could access the internet. Have no idea why she thought this, and she was completely mortified when I explained to her how it actually works. She is an extremely bright woman, just rather computer illiterate; from the non-pc generation. Not too mention all those that think their desktop lives in the monitor and think they will lose it all if I replace their monitor. :waughh:

2008-02-01 07:45:00 | but no doubt they look at their VCR and know what wires are for what, and not think that any are for teleportical transmission of hydraulic fluid for their remote control buttons | Agent_24 (57) | |
