P.S. remember awhile back you all were helping me on a modem issue. Well, I updated the driver and did the trick.

As for the sound. Are they normal 3.5mm jack speakers or USB?

Are the sound drivers installed?

787654 2009-06-30 22:14:00 Aloha Blam

Thank you reviewing my HJT. The speakers used to work and then when I updated my network card driver...it stopped working. It is a 3.5 jack (like on a headset plug). I checked in my control panel under devices and clicked on sounds etc. It all said working properly. Could you run it by me if I am incorrect at what I am actually looking at. I believe my sound card is soundmax integrated digital audio.

787656 2009-06-30 22:26:00 Maybe an IRQ conflict. Does the sound device have a ! or X in device manager? Blam (54)
787657 2009-07-01 03:38:00 Maybe an IRQ conflict. Does the sound device have a ! or X in device manager?

I have ticked what you told me to and successfully unistalled the two items. As for the above you have asked neither a ! or X. Just to let you know I had a problem with getting online and all devices stated working fine, but still could not get online. I updated the driver and it worked. That is just FYI. I appreciate all of your help.

787659 2009-07-01 04:02:00 How about the windows sounds? Blam (54)
787660 2009-07-01 04:32:00 How about the windows sounds?

Only does the ding. You know like if you press something too many times it makes that ding sound. That one.
