| 787359 | 2009-06-30 08:22:00 | Can someone give me a walk through on how to back up my boot ini file and how to copy it back if it ever corrupts I have been googling but nothing seems to be definitive. I have no particular reason to be doing this but want to learn :thanks |

| 787360 | 2009-06-30 08:33:00 | Assuming its XP - have a read of This here (support.microsoft.com) as to how to edit it & Save it - One way - when opened to editing select the whole boot.ini, then copy / paste it to another editing program, either word, wordpad or Notepad - safe it some place. AND Heres one way (pcsupport.about.com) to replace it if damaged and wont open normally or in safe mode. |
