787359 2009-06-30 08:22:00 Can someone give me a walk through on how to back up my boot ini file and how to copy it back if it ever corrupts I have been googling but nothing seems to be definitive. I have no particular reason to be doing this but want to learn

787360 2009-06-30 08:33:00 Assuming its XP - have a read of This here (support.microsoft.com) as to how to edit it & Save it - One way - when opened to editing select the whole boot.ini, then copy / paste it to another editing program, either word, wordpad or Notepad - safe it some place.

AND Heres one way (pcsupport.about.com) to replace it if damaged and wont open normally or in safe mode.
