In the help options for the bootloader, do you see an option for 'vga mode' or 'safe graphics mode'? The weird static-looking stuff is unlikely to damage anything. |

2009-06-30 23:05:00 | and now, it has just stopped at a black screen with a little white bar in the top left hand corner(similar to when you are typing in DOS). It stayed like that after it said Loading Please Wait.. | LarsJohann (13010) | |
2009-06-30 23:18:00 | ok responding again, i typed this: live-nosplash-powerpc video=ofonly and now, i can actually see stuff working (in DOS like format) but however all i can see are errors, many errors; from what i can read some of them are I/O buffer errors, some stuff like no disk in drive, e.t.c. i am confused...

2009-06-30 23:24:00 | As I mentioned above, we can't help you unless you actually tell us what the errors are. Anything else is like phoning up your mechanic and saying "my car is broken - can you tell me how to fix it?" without giving them any information to work from. | Erayd (23) | |
2009-06-30 23:38:00 | i'm getting errors like : Buffer I/O error on device HDA. no disk in drive ide. SQUASHFS error. Atapi device hda : Unrecovered read error.

2009-06-30 23:48:00 | i'm getting errors like : Buffer I/O error on device HDA. no disk in drive ide. SQUASHFS error. Atapi device hda : Unrecovered read error. That looks like problems reading stuff off the CD. Does the CD drive actually work properly? Normally half-working scenarios like that mean the disk is damaged or corrupted, or the drive is stuffed. Any chance you could give us another pic of the errors?
