| 636191 | 2008-02-01 16:17:00 | Get a new laptop and go wardriving :D A bit off-topic but the term 'wardriving' is often mixed up with 'piggybacking' (actually using an unencrypted network or cracking it's encryption in order to use it). Wardriving is simply searching for wireless networks without actually using them. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is 100% legal in NZ. |

| 636192 | 2008-02-01 18:34:00 | Unauthorised access to a network is simple theft. Bandwidth isn't free. You know you're not paying for it - and that's all you need to know. Just because it isn't encrypted or secured does not make it okay to use it without permission. If somebody leaves their door unlocked it still isn't okay to enter the house and take things - no matter how trivial the thing. You learned this kind of thing at pre-school, surely? |

| 636197 | 2008-02-01 22:31:00 | Not strictly true - some people are still on Go Large. I have go large myself, quite happy with it but it's not true unlimited either - 3 restrictions I can think of: Upload is still 128k P2P is shaped - but I don't notice that so much except for bittorrent If you download too much they will limit your speed for a while (apparently) Not too sure about the limits of the last one, as they've never said anything to me. But then I only use on average 50GB a month |
