Saw your wee town on the news tonight. Hopefully the fact that you have not replied does not mean you have burnt down.

Please reply and let your concerned friends know you are safe.

Or still outside belting flames with wet sacks...

Or inside by candlelight gazing at a dead computer...

(I find that powerlines are often the first casualty of fire/storm etc when I'm being rural)

636167 2008-02-01 19:58:00 Where are you Foxy?

ChCh .

I'm in Chch, didn't think it got that hot .

It certainly did . Official maximum high was 34°C . You're not the only one who didn't believe it though, several people I know said the same thing .

He must have a great sense of drama . . . . . .

636168 2008-02-02 02:21:00 God, it's been hot down here, great time but hope it will be cooler back in Auckland :waughh:

I doubt it .
It is actually hotter in the South but Auckland feels worse due to that nasty clammy sauna effect you get every summer .

636169 2008-02-02 03:27:00 Cicero should be safe, I had a look at his statue, and I reckon he's fireproof.
Maybe a bit stoned when I saw him though.
