787677 2009-07-02 03:21:00 Well OK, I un-installed and reinstalled Java , Avast and Highjackthis.
Comodo somewhere along the line disabled itself, It's done that before but a reboot has always fixed it not this time though.
So I un-installed and reinstalled Comodo, bit of a mission, over 6 hrs.
After all that, still showing the red no go sign, on the Icon by the clock.
So best approach now would be?
Thanks all, Don

Having re installed Hijackthis I assumed past info would be gon, but I'll lookfor it.
Thanks

787680 2009-07-02 03:48:00 Is not the Panda entry an antivirus as is the Avast entries?

I usual look for an end of file entry too which is why I wondered if the whole HJT log had been posted.

787681 2009-07-02 04:02:00 I can find no sign of the deleted line.
I'm not too clever around the innards of comp's, but is there a way to copy / paste, or the likes, the line back in somewhere, Reg?
I would have thought the re install of Comodo would have doe it?
Could yet be a setting in Comodo, but I can't see it?
The little diagnostic, reckons it's OK.

787682 2009-07-02 04:30:00 Tick these and click fix checked

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [IgfxTray] C:\WINDOWS\system32\igfxtray.exe

O20 - Winlogon Notify: igfxcui - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\igfxsrvc.dll
This is nasty or part of nortons...

These are both part of Intel's graphics driver package.

787683 2009-07-02 04:41:00 Instead of guessing what needs to be removed from HJT.I think you guys really need to do more research into what you are getting the users to do. Pancake (6359)

Spot on advice Pancake - using the online scanners can be dangerous -- NEVER GUESS - esp when it's someones PC here asking for help -- If in doubt- list the item and say not sure what it is and a more experienced person can advise - or do a google search beforehand.

The searches for cssdll32.dll , igfxtray.exe & igfxsrvc.dll all clearly state what process they belong to.

787685 2009-07-02 05:01:00 Fine. But what should I do now?
Still appreciate any help that's around.

787686 2009-07-02 05:16:00 If system restore is still turned on, run it back to before removing the suggested / incorrect fixes, that will ( or should) replace them. wainuitech (129)
