787706 2009-07-01 03:38:00 My wife has just created her first web page, for a friend. It comes up fine in Mozilla, our browser of choice, but IE 7 has problems with displaying the background colour, requiring a page refresh to do so. Can anyone offer advice as to how to correct this? All help much appreciated. KB. kbcad (1025)
787707 2009-07-01 04:03:00 What software is she using? Blam (54)

787709 2009-07-01 05:50:00 Can you post the HTML for the header up until the <body> tag? Also, any CSS? GingerBeard (15016)

787711 2009-07-01 06:31:00 Works fine in IE8, update it Speedy Gonzales (78)
787712 2009-07-01 08:44:00 Speedy - thanks for reply. Have been avoiding IE 8 (Beta?) as Telecom Help Assistant will not run in it, only in IE 7 (according to Telecom) KB. kbcad (1025)
787713 2009-07-01 08:49:00 Its not in beta its final months ago. Got a link for Telecom Help Assistant? Or is it a program for broadband or something? Speedy Gonzales (78)
787714 2009-07-01 09:06:00 If it doesn't run in IE8 you can run it in IE7 compatibility mode:) Blam (54)
787715 2009-07-01 10:03:00 I am very much the amateur when it comes to html but this doesn't look right to me .

<img src="arise_background_reduced . gif" alt= "Arise Ministries Logo" width="300" height="195" border=5 bordercolor='#006189' </br>

Note the missing > tag at the end before the br
I think it should be

<img src="arise_background_reduced . gif" alt= "Arise Ministries Logo" width="300" height="195" border=5 bordercolor='#006189'></br>

Firefox can ignore missing tags but IE has a problem with them .
