And why do so many real genuinely good people that can contribute to this country get denied? And she's not an immigrant, she's a refugee. Big difference. We accept these people because otherwise they'd likely be killed. Or you could just let them die. John Howard thinks that's ok, so why shouldn't we? |

We have enough problems in the country without bringing in these type of refugees who seem to move to the top of the housing and medical ques.. |

Well just don't expect any help from anyone else when you need it most then. This sort of attitude is disgusting. We have a commitment to the UN to accept a certain amount of refugee's each year, it's not like we're doing it to be humanitarian (although we should). I've known quite a few refugee's over the years and almost all of them have been outstanding people. They see that they have liberties here that they didn't at home, and tend to want to give something back. This lady should be treated like anyone else with mental issues. Refugee status has NOTHING to do with it. |

Strap them up and lets get on with it. That or deportation. We have plenty of good, genuinely needy people who need medical help and state housing without having crazy fruit-baskets taking up our valuable resources that are paid for with OUR money. |

Their cells are small, they are fed basic crap, they are not given any medical care unless it is absolutely necessary (eg bad infections, other illnesses that will kill them unless cared for). And take away all means of entertainment, such as TVs, radios, game consoles. However, keep educational books. Make the work hard labour at a meager pay. That will be their exercise. All the above will save hundreds of thousands of dollars for us taxpayers. If we can't have the money back, I'd rather pay mental institutes to help refugees like that woman. A much better cause than keeping those prisoners happy in their supposedly hellhole. |

Yeah, why should people that choose not to work, be paid weekly for doing nothing while the same people in the county cannot get medical treatment. Reading the news on the Herald on the w'end about England bringing tougher dole conditions, NZ should do it too but they are too scared. >2yr on dole then have to work for a year doing cleaning up parks and stuff. if choose not to for 3x, they are striked out and no dole for 3yr. For people who are against refugees I guess, if their own mother is raped they say it is fine. |
