| 638912 | 2008-02-09 23:53:00 | I have a copy of Vista here but I don't use it... why... because it means I need to move all the software I use on this pc (Win2000) to Vista and I just don't have the time at the moment (some of it probably won't run). I will one day, of course. Of course we can blame the user for allowing malware to install itself but even I, a supposed computer professional :lol:, don't always know if the item to be installed is legit or not legit (of course I could google it every time it asks me but life is too short ). Life was simplier before this here internet was invented :waughh: with every blimin bot trying to install itself on your Windows pc. With all the fun on this here internet, there are some down sides also. |

| 638913 | 2008-02-09 23:55:00 | Been using Vista Ultimate since I won it in the competition January last year. I love it. There had been a couple of minor hiccups earlier, expected ones, since it is still a rather new OS. Loving the GUI, and other features that XP doesn't have. All my previous programs run nicely on Vista, or if they don't there are Vista capable versions or updates. XP is and looks boring to me now. |

Have had no problems at all - apart from me, that is. There have been a few thing that I have had to learn, but that's me, not Vista. I'm happy.:) |

| 638915 | 2008-02-10 12:45:00 | I use vista 64bit. Love the new interface cannot bear to use xp now, all the little things add up to a better experience once you get used to them. No issues with software or hardware except new Hauppauge HVR 4000 tv card which only just got 64bit drivers ( Not really microsofts fault hauppauge just couldn't be bothered making 64bit drivers until enough people complained) | hazza87 (12499) | ||
| 638916 | 2008-02-10 19:02:00 | I've been using Vista since just after its release. Have had minor problems but none of those were actually Microsoft's fault, mostly Ati's drivers. Have actually had more problems with XP early in its life. All up I've got: XP Pro, Vista Home Premium, Linux Ubuntu, PCLinuxOS 2007, Linux Xubuntu. |

| 638917 | 2008-02-10 20:03:00 | I like Windows Vista. It’s fast… but.. Windows live is a pain in the neck. My ISP saves my e-mail and I have no way to back it up. VISTA has a great search engine but I cannot search my new e-mail (Windows live). My old e-mail is there (I have old e-mail from the eighties). I can search it but I can’t send any old mail without importing it into word 7 then it’s anybody’s guess what happens. My old e-mail requires a POP server and I’m not paying for that option. The only crash was when it did not like my mouse. I had Vista drivers but it did not like the driver and blew it away. Now I have a commoners mouse.. Ha, Ha.. darroll |

Its the old story and it will never change - some people like a certain operating system and some don't . Some have problems with Vista while others have no problems at all . Some like and use Linux and some hate it . Doesn't matter what OS a person uses - if they like it they'll use it, some one will always say it rubbish no matter what is done . We can use what ever OS we like no one can make you use OS ??? . So be if someones happy using OS ???? so be it . ;) |
