638742 2008-02-09 05:08:00 Met's - Al I'm gonna say is WELL DONE!!

If you are prepared to do something ( like make the track) so others can have a place to meet and have a bit of fun with RC Cars / buggy's GOOD ON YA!

I used to Fly RC Planes, Pylon Racers to be exact untill they became to $$$$$$ - and trying to get people together at a good location sometimes was murder.

Hope you have lots of fun and others will applicate the work as well I'm sure.

Will be good to see it up and running. Love to see the big blue one in the last Pic on RC :D

Only electric ? what about Methanol/caster burning machines - awhhhh still love that smell and high rev's / Scream of a 2 stroke

638743 2008-02-09 05:30:00 The site foreman with the drink bottle looks a fearsome type!!

Ken :D

Definitely has a career in management ahead of him.

Done zero work, Paid zero attention to the project, seemed to be in a constant state of eating and drinking, needed to be helped on the toilet, and as soon as the camera came out hogged all the glory.

638745 2008-02-09 07:18:00 I took my 14 year old daughter to watch the off roaders at the Mt Wellington Track about a year ago, I had trouble getting her away, she has been hassling me ever since to buy her a car.

You best keep the videos of the racing coming through metla I am sure she would love that.

Well done. Look forward to photos etc of it in action, pity it was not closer to here.

638746 2008-02-09 07:33:00 In regards to Nitro, I decided from the get-go to build to a scale that suited the 1/10 electric cars, If I started making compromises for the bigger cars it ruins it for the beginner level electric cars.

As it is, Its great fun in an entry level car with a $20 motor, so pocket friendly, and kid friendly.

638748 2008-02-09 07:46:00 Where?

Its in Wanganui, But, Shes on private land so will only be open at pre-arranged times, say every second Sunday from 12 to 6.

Best I can do, But more details including specific location will be provided when I get a site up.at the moment shes too dry to be used as designed, Needs to be soaked and hammered with a compactor.

Nah, he's always been in Wanganui. But hell, I wouldn't mind driving up all the way there to use that track. Great job Metla
