| 637167 | 2008-02-04 21:54:00 | That actually sounds like a good idea. But what's the need to look for someone? There are surely sites out there that do step by step walkthroughs etc. Or you could get ideas from www.hackaday.com or something. But mainly, just come up with a concept yourself, and then find a way to implement it. Put a comp in an A/C unit or something. Or you could try making a PC Imac... get a small LCD screen, and an old CRT. And then you can work from there. Actually... that's not a bad idea... (idea brews) | Thebananamonkey (7741) | ||
| 637168 | 2008-02-05 23:12:00 | i have spoken with the others, and we have decided to try and fit my old duron pc into a box fan. there wont be a cd drive though, neither a floppy or anything like that, unless we can find a cheap notebook cd drive. The grill for air flow and the side of the box will be covered with plexiglass to improve aerodynamics (anyone know if we should do this or not) and we wont disconnect the fan because we think it would be a nice feature, the fan just wont be cooling anything... no room for expansion card so will have to do with onboard graphix, oh well, a duron cant play good games anyway! I/O ports will be next to the switch. We think the case will cost us about 110 to build + the computer parts, and that includes a SFX power supply too! Anyone know of any problems that might come up? and whether we should use the big fan to cool it of not? | AMD3ALL3THE3WAY3 (116) | ||
| 637169 | 2008-02-06 00:58:00 | I'm not sure why you want an aerodynamic PC... but sure. Should be ok. You might as well just buy a ****ty old notebook and cannibalise it. There are enough around, shouldn't be very expensive. | Thebananamonkey (7741) | ||
| 637170 | 2008-02-06 02:57:00 | I'm not sure why you want an aerodynamic PC... but sure. I'm not sure why anyone would want a lego pc, fishtank pc, toaster pc, microwave pc, the list goes on. |
