In all honesty I'm not that impressed either.

Being self employed the ACC bills are astronomical anyway. But what's the alternative? "ACC covers you for everything except... x, y. z.... x1, y1, z1... x2... " and so on and so forth. Where does it stop? If we start putting in conditions does it negate the affects of ACC? Do we end up with a situation where it is a free for all?

But for the widow's bill (which on the surface sounds totally out of it) we are once again relying on media reports. There are questions that weren't addressed such as:
- Was it needed?
- Was it applied for through legal aid before or after the lawyer was employed?
- Why did she need a lawyer?

I'm not saying she did or didn't need a lawyer but it does seem that, once again, we were hit with the sensational side of the story without the supporting facts. And a lot of legitimate questions weren't asked or answered. 		Mercury (1316)

I have lived most of my life in NZ and was born in this country so I am not an immigrant. I did go to Australia for around 12-13 years.

In Sydney I found communities with people whom did not speak English and even the local service station had signs up in Japanese.

Last time I went to Auckland in Queen St I had the distinct impression I may have been in another country.

I still think that all people have to accept others cultures but others should not push it. 		Sweep (90)

So citizens are not covered right? Cos if your an immigrant who gets citizenship, you're a full citizen now. Good bye Mercury... That means you cant claim either. Loser.
