They will only charge offenders if they are absolutely sure they are 100% guilty. After all, they investigate ALL reported crime with the thoroughness of CSI so how can there be doubts? - The police showed what resources they have at the army museum. They use similar levels of resources to investigate all reported crime - The police have no prejudice and will treat all complaints impartially and with complete thoroughness no matter who lays the complaint - The fact that somewhere in the region of 30% of all cases are not proven in Court is appalling. There's no smoke without fire so those who are found Not Guilty are just good liars. - As 100% of people who are charged are guilty and 30% are getting away with it lets abolish the Courts. Trial by media with minimal facts is far more effective anyway - Create a New Zealand branch of the Klu Klux Klan. They were the only ones who got it right all the time. Several people here would join in an instant - If the police don't charge someone it doesn't mean they didn't do it. So if in doubt hang them too - Don't bother with things that could help unless they are 100% successful from the beginning. 30% isn't good enough so trying alternatives to improve things is a complete waste of time - If a kid comes from a single parent family then it's the Mum's fault for sleeping around or nagging her partner out the door. No sympathy or help should be provided. - Lets ban all refugees and immigrants. Cultural diversity causes too many problems. Shall we go for the blond, blue eyed race of Hitler's dreams or should it be brown with dark hair? Should we have a poll? And no, I'm not a bleeding heart liberal who thinks 4th, 5th and 6th chances are fair. There are a lot of people, two of whom who've caused major problems for my family and friends, who should go away for a lot longer than they do. I'm also in favour of good discipline for kids, don't think smacking is particularly effective (there are better ways) but am opposed to the anti-smacking bill. Several people here would join in an instant I know you attempt to speak in Jest, But there is plenty of White Power believers here in NZ, Its not a nice scene, and the suggestion that anyone here would try and be a part of that is repulsive. That would have been cool." and "Mentor with a bullet = cheap and immediate stoppage of that person(s) reoffending." seem to come from that kind of value system. Life was cool for the trees and the birds. Then the Maori came to chop down a few trees (with a few rats and dogs to eat the birds) and upset the whole ecological thing. A few hundred years later, a few wars and eating the opposition, and they cause the most trouble and are the majority in the prisons. Answer seems to be to shove them back in their canoes and send them back to where they came from. Now we have the Asians with their intolerance of all things Western. Transport options have changed.
