638892 2008-02-09 10:16:00 I haven't been in the computer thing for a while. Still using XP and 2k, those who are, is that because of a new purchase computer, just a OS upgrade? Nomad (952)
638893 2008-02-09 10:17:00 Running it and XP and everything else, just for the sake of it. wratterus (105)
638894 2008-02-09 11:43:00 Vista and XP here as well. Happy with both. beeswax34 (63)
638895 2008-02-09 16:27:00 I'd like to try Vista, just for a look-see, but...

a) I don't have an unused machine to try it on
b) I don't have a free copy
c) By most accounts it's a piece of, um, clay

638896 2008-02-09 19:26:00 It looks like a DVD to me Greg. :p pcuser42 (130)
638897 2008-02-09 19:30:00 I tried it on the shop PC, took it off again.

Too many apps I'd have to change and I'd have to buy another printer too.

For the privilege of more bloat....so nah.

638898 2008-02-09 19:43:00 I heard that Bill Gates uses it ! Digby (677)
638899 2008-02-09 19:54:00 I paid for my copy of XP (Got it dirt cheap at the time) Why would I want to pay again for an OS that suits me fine just now?

Plus, I'd have trouble running older games.

638900 2008-02-09 20:02:00 Using Both - Vista x 2 and XP x 3, all work fine with no problems. After using Vista for a while then jumping back to XP, well XP seem so plain and boring. wainuitech (129)
638901 2008-02-09 20:04:00 I use Vista Ultimate (have since I won a free copy in Jan 2007) - and am very happy with it. There are some little things here and there which make it a lot easier to use. Plus - security - something which should have been done ages ago, is finally up to a reasonable standard. That is, as long as you don't turn off UAC!!!! somebody (208)
