637129 2008-02-03 19:52:00 Hi folks.

Does anyone subscribe to Sky UHF channels and in particular the movie channel (UHF 4). If so, do you experience loss of transmission ie no picture, at irregular intervals. I have checked this out with Sky and they say there have been transmission failures and their technicians respond immediately when this happens.

It only happens on UHF 4 channel - all the other channels work fine. These failures seem to be getting worse, occurring again last night around 9pm lasting for a couple of hours or so.

Anyone having similar problems??

Smithie

637130 2008-02-03 21:37:00 You must be the only person still on Sky UHF. For the same cost you can get their sat service with more channels.. paulw (1826)
637131 2008-02-03 22:46:00 Wrong - Sat service is quite a lot dearer. Peter H (220)
637132 2008-02-03 22:47:00 does uhf actually provide better quality image than vhf at all? AMD3ALL3THE3WAY3 (116)
637133 2008-02-03 22:56:00 Agree with you Peter. To get what I now get, plus numerous of other channels I do not want, digital would cost me $83.76 per month plus $99.00 start up fee. I now pay $52.00 for one sport and one movie channel plus a few other minor ones, which is all I want. smithie 38 (6684)
637134 2008-02-03 23:14:00 Dude, you still pay for your UHF? Shame... It's easy as pie to get for free (well, with the exclusion of about $70 for a correct TV card). ubergeek85 (131)
