789435 2009-07-06 09:06:00 Hey guys,i need some help on choosing a graphics card.I have been looking through mags and online but am very confused as there are so many.
Budget is around $250 now,I mainly use my pc for gaming and music.I live in Dunedin,should I just take it to the shop and let them sort it? if so Where's a good place to go?

AMD Athlon64 processor 3500+
2.20 Ghz,1.00GB of RAM
Nvidia geforce 7600gs
ms-7260
Windows xp home sp3
Viewsonic 19" monitor

First thing I'd do is invest in a better power supply with a higher wattage to handle the graphics card .

You don't specify what games you play .

Invest in a 500w at least, look for an Antec or Corsair.

Another 1gb stick of RAM would help too, cheap as chips these days.

Agreed, however my PSU of choice is different.
