788745 2009-07-04 03:29:00 Heyas,
about a year or so ago, I donated a HP Pavilion 8905 to the local play centre. The mothers (and odd father) use ot for various things such as printing off digi-cam pics of their kids and various learning software etc.

Very recently it died, and today I bought it home to look at. The PSU is very dead, though it does not appear to have taken anything with it (machine still boots ok with another normal sized PSU)

Does anyone have a PSU that they will happily donate so I can get this computer up and running before next term?
My funds right now are very limited, otherwise I would buy one.

Thanks :)

p.s the old PSU is 150W

and yes, I did check the voltage switch at the back :p

788746 2009-07-04 05:15:00 If you can put $31.68 (Roughly) together you can get a brand new one from pconlineshop for that much. pconlineshop.co.nz

Good luck, Sorry I don't have one to donate.

788748 2009-07-04 05:47:00 I see that BST is actually Bestec.

Is there a name for the smaller PSU's that came with the HP Pavilion towers.
Anyway, its one of them that I require

Might be a tad bigWhich measurement is for which (i.e. is it width x height x depth?)
The depth here is the important measurement. If its 138mm then yes it is too big as the PSU will hit the optical drive plug

The PSU I have is 125mm (width) x 80mm (height) x 100mm (depth)
Myth (110)
788754 2009-07-04 06:19:00 Depth is 138mm. What size do you need? I may have a few more lying around Blam (54)
