640767 2008-02-18 01:27:00 I'm a baritone. I wouldn't hold my breath about fame. Success hopefully, but I'm not the next Pavarotti. It is nice getting money for what you love. But at the end of the day it's a job, like anything else. Just more interesting sometimes.
I wondered if Pav was a baritone!

Pavoratti most definitely was NOT a baritone! He was master of the "High-C's"

You have certainly lead an interesting life . Did you find much in common between all those jobs?

Except for the demolition part, all of them were quite creative and made me feel better when I got done at the end of the day .

I found paying attention and asking a lot of questions made the job easier and I could add the techniques and skills to my personal dossier .

I wonder if I would have been a good dentist or a good English teacher . I still write quite a lot . . . books and short stories . . . which I know has exasperated some people here with my soapbox tirades . . . but that's just the teacher in me trying to make sure that everyone has a clear picture of what it is I am trying to purvey .

Some times I played bass guitar in CW and rock bands . . . ran a profitable disco . . before the term disco was coined . . . . raced cars and a few motorcycles . . . owned and piloted but never soloed my own Cessna 150 . . . . had a few boats and a lot of cars, two wives (one deceased, the other is currently . . . er . . . current) . . .

The hardest thing I have tried to do (besides a dual-boot with Linux and XP) was to find that I am a lot used up, very tired and slightly blind, have osteoporosis and other degenerative bone diseases and have grown older when I think I should still be a teenager and totally indestructible .

Now I just officiate at things and try to offer the years of experiences I have had for the benefit of others . I actually mean no-one any harm . . . but sometimes it just comes out that way .
