789604 2009-07-09 01:00:00 Nice.

Hmm, you're right about NoScript but should it matter?

789606 2009-07-09 01:04:00 With noscript turned on, the menu looks funny (see attached).Yes and so would many other websites.

I was playing around with some cool js to get the font without using images.

The menu is easy to do with images, but this way is cooler.:cool:

789608 2009-07-09 01:58:00 Here is how it is displayed in IE for me.

Just a thought, How hard is it going to be for me to edit the menu in the future?
Metla (12)
789609 2009-07-09 02:09:00 The menu code is very standard and simple

<div id="navcontainer">
<ul id="navlist">

<li><a href="index.html">Home</a></li>
<li><a href="nails.html">Nails</a></li>
<li><a href="makeup.html">Makeup</a></li>
<li><a href="indulgences.html">Indulgences</a></li>
<li><a href="about.html">About</a></li>
<li><a href="contact.html">Contact</a></li>

</ul>
</div>

The code would be very similar if we were to use image replacement.

I would have guessed a few here would have scripting turned off, but would also guess 99% of everyone else would not.

Also with image replacement you would need to create a new image for the link, this way javascript does all the magic.

789611 2009-07-09 03:15:00 Looking swish Rob, Though on both my computers it doesn't display correctly in IE.

In other news, While googling to see if the current site had yet been indexed we discovered a business had popped up called Indulge. This Indulge offers a lot of the same services, and in a "**** me, I didn't see that coming" Its about 400m down the road from us.

So, The wifes project is now called Opulent Nails......:rolleyes:

Amazing it took 3 months to settle on the original name, and less then 10 minutes to pick the new one.

Now all I have to do is fin e a use for 500 business cards, 50 brochures, 5 sheets of loyalty cards, 50 appointment cards, 4 A4 sized speciality menus, and a URL....

Maybe you could sell them to your competitor down the road?
