640471 2008-02-15 05:14:00 What about any other part of the country - Faster or slower
(sorry Mate couldn't resist that)

15 - 20 minutes to put a PC together is about right - then Several hours with installing software ;)

Seriously though - Most of the cables/plugs will only go in one way or place, esp from the power Supply, as they have either chamfered / Square edges on the P4 Power plug, the Main Power plug will only fit one way, and the molex & SATA plugs are chamfered or have a "step" so they will once again only fit one way.

The leads from the front of the case will all be labled, you need to carefully look through the manual that came with the board, and then SLOWLY ( if unsure) match each lead to its location on the board.

I can sorta figure out where the cables go. Only problem is there are a lot of leftover cables running here and there and in general it's very untidy. I'm not too sure also where the front audio, firewire, usb, power and reset buttons go; there's about 15 identical cables from the front of the case alone.

I will PM Rob99 soon though it looks like he hasn't been on the forums for a while. :S

640472 2008-02-15 05:37:00 hi, if you could manage to get your pc over to my place, i can do it all (including cable-tying the wires) for 20 bucks, this all seems good, but i'm a computer enthusiast, not a techie.
I made my computer by myself and all turned out fine.
Downside: you turn the computer on, if it goes boom, i wont accept the 20, but i wont pay for damages, after all i dont qualify for min wage yet, so, i can do it at your expense.
I mainly wanna do it for experience, PM me if you are interested,
Cheers, AMDx3
