789143 2009-07-05 06:42:00 those pictures are in safe mode :) it is almost non stop like that,if i play with it i'll be able to fix the screen but only for 10-15 minutes.. do you think system restore will help ? emes34 (11736)
789144 2009-07-05 06:50:00 Looks like its not a driver problem, as when you boot into safe mode it uses VGA.sys drivers...

DOES IT HAPPEN IN THE BIOS OR NOT?

789145 2009-07-05 06:50:00 Looks like a stuffed card , monitor or cable if the drivers have been uninstalled. If the screen looks like that. Did you uninstall the drivers first?? You didnt just delete the folder the drivers were in did you? Speedy Gonzales (78)

The symbols on the screen eliminate the monitor and cabling as the source of the problem.

I have seen memory problem manifest very similarly to this. I would say 99% probability video card, 1% RAM. But running memtest86 for an hour will be plenty and all it costs is a blank CD.

Or just replace the card like pctek says, it's a pretty safe bet.

Safe mode eliminates drivers I think due to it not loading them.

789147 2009-07-05 07:06:00 I uninstalled all the drivers correctly,I have pc for about 10 years so I know how to do at least that :) But something else is strange,I've just installed the new drivers and the lines and everything disappeared the screen was perfect in bios and the loading screens, even the desktop was fine for about 5 minutes, then it froze again... here are more pictures

as I've been writing this post the lines disappeared again now its good, but when I restart in normal mode probably it will freeze again

789148 2009-07-05 07:10:00 Don't bother. If the lines appear in the BIOS too, then its a hardware problem.

Get it replaced or take it back if its still under warranty.

789149 2009-07-05 07:13:00 Well that was the problem its not in warranty anymore, and I don't want to give another 150-200 bucks for video card :s Thanks for the help anyway ! emes34 (11736)
789150 2009-07-05 08:29:00 Are you absolutely sure your motherboard doesn't have integrated graphics (most brand name computers do)?
Some of the video card manufacturers warranty them for up to 3 years, check it out first.

789151 2009-07-05 12:02:00 actually I remember when I bought the pc it had windows Vista and my video memory was 512 + 128 I think,so maybe it has some integrated graphics, but I'm not sure.what if it has ? I got some progress, now in safe mode the screen is perfect, but when I restart the pc and go into normal mode the screen freezes after a while. emes34 (11736)
789152 2009-07-05 13:02:00 If the VGA (screen) socket on the computer is vertically oriented and in the panel with USB ports, network, keyboard etc, then it's integrated.

If it's horizontal, in one of the slots down the lower half of the computer, most likely with another port or two (DVI / S-video) right beside it, then it's a video card.

Note that this is a general guideline and might not apply if your PC is not a tower.
