640791 2008-02-20 10:17:00 So if you were an employer you wouldn't have any issues with your employees sleeping on the job?

Well not if they're on their lunch break. What I meant was that all you saw was a guy in a HiVis vest sleeping in a car. How do you know he was on the job? In fact how do you know anything at all about the situation? Seems like a fair amount of assumption going on here.

It may well pay to ensure everybody sleeps in cars with a HiVis jacket on.
Sleeping is statistically far more dangerous than wandering around construction sites barefoot and drunk.
More people die asleep in bed than any other location in NZ, and what is the Gov't doing about it? There should be a law.

More people die asleep in bed than any other location in NZ, and what is the Gov't doing about it? There should be a law.I actually thought more people died when they stopped moving. I think if there's any laws to be passed, it should be that we have to keep moving. Wheres Bradford when you need her?? She needs to be passing that law... and soon
Also, it should be illegal for people to die...

But I hear what you're saying :)

640796 2008-02-21 23:31:00 Certainly increase productivity if we did keep moving. Obesity wouldn't be a problem, and anyone with a bad heart would soon be taken care of. Easing on the health system. Knee replacements would soar through the roof. So maybe an advance in Bionics? Could be a NZ niche market. World leaders in self improvement. Or some rubbish like that. I like it. And I don't know why they didn't act before, so many needless deaths could have been prevented. Legislation would become a PITA. But with increased productivity we'd all have law degrees, so no prob. What self-respecting man (or monkey) elects to wear reflective flouro yellow tops when sleeping on the side of the road at 9.30am on a Tuesday morning when not on the job but in a company vehicle? But hey - if that's how you live your life, or if have your lunch at 9.30am then that's your choice!

640798 2008-02-22 17:15:00 Let's see:

Breakfast = 6AM
1st lunch = 9-9:30AM
2nd lunch = 12:30 PM or thereabouts
Dinner = 4PM
Supper = 8:30PM
...then there's always my midnight snack

640799 2008-02-23 01:23:00 And don't forget second breakfast and elevenses. Oh, the hair on my feet curls up at the thought of it. Wasn't about to try and guess a time for that pic, you didn't say it was at 9:30... or did you? Meh. Anyway, it's none of our business. Too beautiful a day outside to be in here. Forecast keeps saying rain, but I don't see any of it. WGTN is going to be a bonfire soon if this keeps up. Thebananamonkey (7741)
