789400 2009-07-06 07:18:00 I have a m3n78-em motherboard and i just got ddr2 1066 ram for it that doesn't run at full potential because of cpu apparently which is a amd 6000 am2 so i need to upgrade to am2+ for it work wonder if my mobo would work with the new am3 phenom x4 II cpus termz (13320)
789401 2009-07-06 07:28:00 DDR2 1066 is supported by AM2+ CPU for one DIMM per channel only.
And this motherboard will only take AM2 and AM2+ and will support AM3 but you will have a degradation issue.

789402 2009-07-06 07:33:00 According to the ASUS site FAQ for the mobo

I plan to buy AM2+ CPU and DDR2 1066. I found on that forum that AM2+ CPU does not support more than one DDR2 1066 memory module per channel. Is this true?

Yes, due to AMD CPU limitation, DDR2 1066 memory module is supported by AM2+ CPU for one DIMM per channel only. Please keep this limitation in mind when you purchase your DDR2 1066 memory module.

Here's a list of what it can support (support.asus.com)

789404 2009-07-06 08:53:00 Not in the core speed to my knowledge just the FSB frequency and the support for DDR3 RAM :) Tuneznz (13203)
