789187 2009-07-05 09:08:00 Does anyone know of a free partition manager for Windows that can edit used partitions?(Like partition magic, but free). I would use the Ubuntu live disc, but the PC I'm using hasn't got a DVD drive. sammo450 (13626)
789188 2009-07-05 09:11:00 gparted.sourceforge.net

http://www.partition-tool.com/

www.paragon-software.com

Or if you have Windows 7 or Vista and you can try Disk Management(Run>diskmgmt.msc) although it does not always work, espec. with system partitions.

And if you want to partiton the system drive then make sure you backup any data, and have your XP/Vista/7 CD handy as you may have to perform a startupo repair/fixmbr etc

But if you get that one it will work until you reformat the hard drive and then you may not re-install possibly.
